Product Description
Masumi Brewery's traditional Junmai Sake. Gentle and mild in all aspects, with subtle, organic flavors and a touch of rice sweetness.
Okuden Kanzukuri has a gentle aroma of berries, melon and earthy notes. A semi-floral taste is met by a nice mouthfeel with flavors of dried fruit, culminating in a dry finish. The viscosity is a little thick, and it feels very gentle in the mouth. The abundant amino acids in this Junmai give it a complete roundness that is further enhanced by heating.
Masumi Okuden Kanzukuri is produced at Miyama Nishiki and Hitogokochi from Nagano Prefecture and the famous Masumi No. 7 yeast - a yeast that was originally developed by Masumi in 1946, and which today is widely used in Sake production all over Japan.
Masumi Okuden Kanzukuri goes well with classic Japanese dishes such as yakitori, teriyaki, sukiyaki, nabe hotpot and grilled fish.
It is recommended to serve this sake heated, but it can also easily be enjoyed chilled.
